Hello! I have a few new followers so I thought I would tell you a little more about myself! My name is Julia Veenstra and I live and work in Hamilton, Ontario! #Hamilton has been very, very kind to me! I am an artist, wife and mother to 5.(10 now with spouses) and 8 grandchildren! I attended Sheridan college many years ago and worked briefly at a publishing house before starting at home with my children. I painted when I had commissions as who has time with 5 kids to just play!? We lived in the States for a while and spent 5 years in East Africa, Tanzania and Kenya to be exact. I taught art at an international school in Kenya. I can speak some Swahili! Habari Yako!? Upon returning to Canada I took a gallery space and began my art career! Social media has also been kind! I am currently opening a new gallery and cafe! @crownandpressgallery Follow along if you will! I have learned so much in the last 20 years.
