Vacation is doing all it should do. I am ready to turn up the heat, the light and get to the work! Return to the masterpieces that make up my daily life. My family, my friends, my studio and the gallery I love! This is my last night in Ishigaki, Japan. While it will be sad in 4 days to leave my kids to journey on their way, an epic year long trip in Asia, and return home it is exciting to get back!
Dip your brush. Make your marks. Explore. Play. Don’t delay. You just don’t know when the moment the fish skim across the surface so be ready! If it’s just a lucky break or feels like it, then embrace it! But being ready for it will make that moment arrive faster!

Just kidding! But it is hot here! 36 plus degrees! I am so loving this time with my family and being inspired! Being away from my studio can be hard but I find that a break to refill my creativity is so needed. Japan is hot in September and October! But the water is cool! I am in Japan. My husband and I joined my son and his family for three weeks. They are doing a year long Asia “world trip” as my grandkids call it! This video was taken when we went off road and found a path to the beach. We were all alone in the cove. We found the stream that was flowing into the ocean. I am so inspired. It’s just gorgeous here in the Okinawa. I am off today to Ishigaki to explore a smaller island. Three weeks of not painting is always hard for me. But these three weeks are bringing such inspiration and fuel for my work!
"In Search Of Perfection" is a painting I did for my Studio Garden Tour in early September. I'm in Japan now and just finished an amazing Disney Tokyo experience! Wow! What an incredible celebration of art. Creative fields are full of possibility! Pursue your aspirations!
In Japan in Tokyo we went to a cool place called Team Labs. It was an incredible 3d art installation of such beauty and a joy to experience. @teamlab.planets
